This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and outgoing Senior Health and Safety Advisor, who is committed to showcasing their own health and safety leadership and growing that skill in others.

Reporting to the General Manager, Group Health and Safety you will join a growing team of specialists to provide practical health, safety and risk advice, information and support to senior and operational managers and workers.

The role is varied and will see you:

leading and supporting the workstreams underpinning the IHC Group Health and Safety work programme;

working alongside IHC Group leaders, managers, and workers to build capability, and confidence to promote and drive a positive change in our safety culture; and

being able to showcase your experience of health and safety leadership, implementation, and engagement skills.

Your genuine passion for health and safety and embedding good practice based on well researched and effective systems of work, will be key to success in this role, along with your consultative and engaging style. You will have strong experience in a Senior Health and Safety Advisor/Specialist role (or similar), and preferably in a large, complex, and geographically spread organisation. In addition, you will have extensive risk management, contractor management and incident investigation experience coupled with coaching and mentoring and framework development experience.

A tertiary qualification in Health and Safety, Professional Registration (NZISM, IOSH or higher) and ICAM Trained (or similar) is required as with a full NZ Drivers Licence.
