Experienced and qualified Senior Health and Safety Advisor required to assist in all areas of the safety management system

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a great Health, Safety and Wellbeing team who are busy ensuring all processes are relevant, moving to the implementation phase of their revised Health, Safety and Wellbeing strategy and direction.

Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager you will develop, review, maintain and implement procedures, as well as provide subject matter expertise/advice and direction at all levels.

Duties

• Develop, implement, monitor and review effective Health and Safety processes

• Collaborate and influence at all levels and with all business units

• Champion HSW best practice

• Ensure a shared commitment is embedded, enabling a positive HSW culture

• Assist with the creation of a solid safety management framework including all policies and procedures

• Educate and influence to ensure accountabilities and responsibilities are fully embedded and understood throughout the organisation

Skills and experience

You will have significant experience and proven success in engaging within a multi-site environment, supporting and advising to gain the all-important buy-in. Providing a platform where everyone understands and accepts their roles and responsibilities/ accountabilities within the safety management framework.

• Significant experience in a Senior Health and Safety role

• Relevant tertiary qualification (min. Diploma)

• Highly collaborative and influential communication skills, both oral and written

• Solid understanding of legislation

• Experience in creating fit for purpose procedures, through to implementation and review

• Proven ability working within a complex work environment, dealing with ambiguity and across all departments

• Proven capability in achieving Health and Safety performance improvement and leading cultural change

• Engaging and positive manner with a can-do attitude
