St John is looking for a Safety Advisor to join the Health, Safety and Wellbeing team reporting to the Head of HSW, this role can be located anywhere in the North Island.

The purpose of this role is to engage with service line partners to understand their needs and facilitate solutions based on insights gained by becoming an integral part of the team. This role forms a critical link between our operational colleagues and the enabling services and will be trusted advisors to the organisation.

We are looking for strong technical skills with proven positive safety leadership and a growth mindset. In terms of the technical stuff......

-Significant proven experience in managing safety in a complex environment

-Tertiary Qualification in a Safety related discipline with a demonstrated commitment to professional development

-Ability to translate 'safety speak' into engaging conversations with all levels of the organisation.

-Excellent presentation, reporting and facilitation skills

-Experience with risk management, identifying risks and providing pragmatic solutions

-Experience working with progressive safety principles and how these can be applied in complex environments.

-Demonstrated experience in engaging with and learning from the organisational experts (the people who do the work!)

-The ability to influence and support organisation leaders and build lasting working relationships.
