About the role

We’re seeking an energetic, pro-active and experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join a national team, in this regional role, covering the Upper North Island. No day will be the same as you support the team who support local communities across the country. This organisation is staffed by people who are passionate about what they do – consistently stepping up under pressure to provide the best solution in often difficult times.

You’ll provide support and advice in all areas of health, safety and wellbeing, influencing and increasing the capability of the workforce through their leaders. Your confidence and experience will ensure credibility, engagement and buy in for core safety practices.

Skills and experience

The successful candidate will have experience in a large, complex organisation as well as relevant qualification in occupational health, safety and wellbeing. A pragmatic approach with excellent communication skills is a must, along with the following:

• Experience in developing and delivering training and presentations

• Audit and investigation experience

• An interest in or experience working with Safety II principles

• Excellent IT skills and written communication

• Flexibility for planned travel

You choose how you work in this regional role, if you want to work from home or if you want to join colleagues in the office once in a while. Ideal locations would include the Bay of Plenty or Waikato.
