A leader within the design, construction and project management of telecommunications, our client works extensively across NZ and Australia to provide innovative concepts and first-class outcomes.

About the role

This role will look after the health, safety, environmental, quality and wellbeing needs of the permanent staff and partnered field crews across Wellington and the lower North Island. You’ll lead investigations, provide reporting and facilitate training, toolbox talks and inductions, providing mentoring and guidance on all HSEQW matters.

This business operates 24/7 and this role is key in developing and implementing a strategy for safety in this environment. It will also require you to be contactable/on call on a regular roster. You’ll work alongside Field and Operational Managers to ensure they have up to date guidance and information, enabling staff, contractors and customers alike to take a responsible approach to HSEQW.

To be considered for this role you must have:

• Experience in a 24/7 business

• Formal qualification in occupational health and safety – tertiary preferred

• ICAM

• A reliable vehicle and clean driver’s licence

• Able to travel within the region

• A sense of humour

• The right to work already in place

You may also have:

• Experience in gaining ISO accreditation

• Lead Auditor qualification
