About the role

As subject matter expert, and in consultation with key stakeholders, you’ll develop and implement frameworks and plans for improving safe practice, quality assurance and compliance across this geographically diverse organisation.

Reporting to the CEO and managing a team of 6, you’ll provide timely and valuable feedback to the board, government agencies and those who fund this not-for-profit organisation.

Duties

• Lead the development, coordination and operation of quality monitoring, evaluation and audit processes

• Ensure documentation and records meet compliance

• Work closely with Managers to ensure the appropriate training of staff

• Develop and implement strategies to ensure a healthy and safe workplace

Skills and experience

This role may be suited to a registered nurse who has experience in the field of occupational health and safety, or a quality manager with experience in the community health care field.

Familiarity working with agencies including Oranga Tamariki, Health NZ – Te Whatu Ora, ACC and disability services is an advantage and you must have sound understanding of the HSWA. This role requires you to motivate and lead, creating accountability in others, while taking ownership of your areas of expertise.

• A high standard of oral and written communication

• Home and Community Care experience is preferred

• Tertiary qualification in Quality, Risk, Compliance or similar
