About the role

This is an existing role, joining a wider nationwide shared services team with a primary focus on championing and further developing our national Quality Management systems.

You will also be the owner of HSE in our Auckland based businesses, driving a positive health and safety culture through monitoring, compliance, development, and education as well as being

be responsible for maintaining our environmental accreditation programmes.

This is an entry level role without the entry level salary at a company wanting to invest in you!

The following duties and skills are what you will be trained to do, so do not let it scare you out of applying!

Duties

• Work to expand and develop the Quality Systems within the national programme.

• Co-ordinate and report on all aspects of QMS in their Auckland sites.

• Ensure compliance, co-ordinate, coach, and report on all aspects of the OHSMS including overseeing employee induction/training procedures and contractor management for their Auckland sites.

• Managing and building upon our environmental certification and accreditation programmes such as HACCP, FSC, PEFC and Toitu Enviromark and Carbon Zero schemes within the framework of the shared services team.

Skills and experience

• You will ideally have a background in Quality Management and HSE – ideally in a manufacturing environment.

• Understanding of Health and Safety Legislation and compliance requirements.

• Experience in the development of Quality and H&S systems, policies and standard operating procedures would be a standout.

• Systems and Process orientated with effective planning and organisational skills

• Strong communication and relationship management skills

• Be committed to continuous improvement

• Ability to coordinate across multiple functions and manage diverse responsibilities

• A problem solver with lateral thinking

• Tenacious personality who is driven, open to training and learning the role from the bottom up.
