About the role

As an Occupational Hygiene Technical Consultant, you will serve clients nationwide, conducting site visits, assessments, and delivering timely results.

This role demands up-to-date industry knowledge, policy development, strong stakeholder relationships, client acquisition, sales proposal crafting, and professional representation.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Conduct occupational hygiene consultancy, including site visits and assessments for diverse clients.

• Provide problem-solving and continuous improvement assistance, ensuring best practice advice.

• Ensure technical accuracy in all reports and presentations, tailoring recommendations to various levels of understanding.

• Deliver accurate and timely results within agreed timeframes.

• Assist in creating, reviewing, and implementing company policies and procedures.

• Conduct preliminary discussions with clients to assess needs, followed by sales proposals and necessary follow-up.

Skills and experience required, includes:

• Experience: 10 to 15 years in an Occupational Hygiene role, with a strong ability to build and maintain client relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions.

• Qualifications: Degree in Toxicology and/or Chemistry, as well as Occupational Hygiene.

• Professional Membership: Eligibility for full membership in NZOHS and AIOH, and registration as a Health and Safety Professional on the HASANZ Register (or willingness to work towards these).

• Leadership: Evidence of being a collaborative and supportive leader or team member.

• Continuous Improvement: Commitment to continuous improvement and partnership building to achieve shared objectives.

• Business Acumen: Ability to critically analyse and evaluate information logically.
