About the Role

You will support the senior leadership team in developing their understanding of how to approach Health and Safety from a contemporary perspective where constraint and compliance give way to finding methods for enabling our people to succeed.

Provide assurance through improved lead indicators and stories of success as a method of measuring performance to ensure the organisation is meeting their own standards, industry standards and keeping up to date with leading health and safety thinking.

This role will see you lead a culture of risk awareness and ownership through education and developing programmes across the business.

This role will deliver a shared vision and commitment to industry-leading health and safety practices, while building and executing strategies that support a resilient workforce, with the overall target of work done well.

Skills and Attributes

We anticipate the successful person will have a construction background or perhaps experience in another high-risk industry, with a career path that shows innovative key achievements and success working at a senior leadership level.

· Coach and Mentor, both within the H&S team and our operational teams

· Strategic planning and implementation

· Provide timely and accurate reporting

· Provide relevant learning initiatives

· Lead the way through education and engagement

· Proven ability to establish and develop relationships from senior leadership to site level

· Experienced in developing, implementing and continuously improving a Health and Safety Management System

· Strong ability to influence, with a proven history of successful change

· Leadership experience with an excellent communication skillset – both written and verbal

· Problem solver, outcome focused with strong commercial acumen
