This position reports to the Risk Manager and is an integral part of a small Risk Team that sits within the Council's People and Performance Group. You will be based at the Municipal Building.

If you have answered yes to the questions above, we are seeking an experienced Internal Audit and Risk Advisor to support Council working across three risk related disciplines - Risk and Assurance, Internal Audit and Insurance.
The role requires a working knowledge and understanding of insurance principles using risk based methodology, and experience in internal audit planning, completion and reporting. You will also be familiar with strategic risk management and assurance principles and be capable of compiling detailed reports and confident presenting recommendations.

The Internal Audit and Risk Advisor position is a support role with key responsibilities for the development, completion and monitoring of an annual internal audit programme, the engagement with and promotion of risk and assurance initiatives, strategies, policies and procedures alongside the oversight of Councils' insurance portfolio from a risk exposure perspective.
