The role

Reporting to the Group Manager for HSQE, you’ll be responsible for providing Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental (HSQE), best practice of operational expertise and practical support to the Regional and Operational Managers of our Wellington Contracting business and their wider teams.

Your focus will be driving the implementation of our Health and Safety Strategy across the region through ensuring the regional operational business complies with all relevant legislations together with Northpower’s and our customers HSQE policies, procedures and standards.

Who we’re looking for

An experienced HSQE leader who is a champion of health, safety and environmental principles in leading and coaching within an operational service provider environment. You’ll have the ability to build trust and maintain strong collaborative working relationships both in professional and front line field environments, yet not afraid to have courageous conversations or address challenging issues.

You’ll be able to demonstrate your:

- Strong IS skills with excellent knowledge of how to use and maximise ISN and Q-pulse.

- Ability to manage HSE internal audits / assurance programmes to ensure compliance.

- Ability to organise and provide training and development for individuals within the HSE environment.

- Ability to identify and assist with the management of HSE risks.

- Provide and develop HSE reporting frameworks, as well as insight and reporting to regional HSE managers around trends and activities.

- A strategic thinker / thought leader & all round problem solver.

- Someone with strong interpersonal skills preferably experienced in working in a multi-cultural environment.

IOSH, NEBOSH certificate is highly advantageous but not essential.
