About the role
We are recruiting for an influential leader with a passion for Health, Safety and wellbeing to join the Vector team. It's about fostering a positive HSE culture, where embedded behaviours underpin a world class approach.
The purpose of this role is to lead the health safety and environmental performance for Vector Networks, who manage the Auckland electricity and gas distribution network. Working closely with our networks leadership team, you will get the opportunity to engage across the team, influencing the HSE culture to continue the cultural shift in thinking that is already underway. You will be relied upon to provide sound HSE guidance and advice, lead initiatives, mentor and coach staff, and work collaboratively with our contracting partners. This includes overseeing the performance of the contractors engaged by the business. and fostering a collaborative approach to safety.
Who we are looking for
To be successful in this role you will have a strong ability and proven success engaging and influencing others, while working collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve revolutionary safety, performance, and operational excellence.
We are looking for someone with proven experience and knowledge in Health Safety and Environment leadership, preferably with experience in the electrical or construction industry.
Working knowledge of a contracting environment (PCBU's and horizontal consultation) will be an advantage, along with the following:
