An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and committed Health and Safety Coordinator to join the Talley’s Blenheim team in a large multi-faceted shellfish plant right in the heart of the stunning Marlborough region.

Key tasks within this role include hazard management and facilitating key activities such as site audits, investigations, risk assessments and reporting. You will also be expected to take a lead role in building a culture where safety is owned by all including employees and contractors.

To be successful, you will need several years’ health and safety experience, have a good understanding of best practice safety systems and ideally hold a relevant qualification. You will also have demonstrated experience in hazard management, working with contractors, auditing, investigations and creating a safety culture.

Key to this role is that you have great initiative, an ability to relate well to a diverse group of people, tenacity and drive; you are organised and systematic in your approach and able to take a pragmatic, timely approach in a commercial environment.
