In this permanent position, based on our thriving Wellington campus, you will be working with a wide range of stakeholders to engage, empower and enable our workers to create a safe and healthy workplace.

You will be responsible for working alongside our people to proactively identify and manage risks, identify opportunities for improvement, and maintain preparedness for any emergency or disaster. Your focus on coaching and supporting others to achieve safe and healthy outcomes will play a large part in improving performance and lifting engagement on health, safety and emergency management across the campus.

Your qualifications in health, safety and/or emergency management will be supported by your experience working in a multifaceted organisational environment. Complexity and competing demands are just an opportunity for you to work collaboratively to find practical solutions. You will need to have proven interpersonal skills and an ability to build and maintain effective relationships, and can demonstrate that you can communicate complex ideas in a simple way. An attention to detail, with an ability to critically assess and analyse issues and creatively solve problems is key to success in this role.
