St John have a wonderful opportunity in the Central Region as a Health Safety Advisor to join the Health Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) team. The HSW team sits within the People and Capability team and reports to the HSW Manager. This role is based in Hamilton, however other locations could be a possibility such as Palmerston North, Wanganui or Napier.

This is a full time permanent opportunity and would require travel across the central region of the North Island.

The Health and Safety Advisor must have strong working knowledge of investigations, incident management and supporting Health and safety culture growth, as part of a multidisciplinary team of Health & Safety Advisors, Wellbeing Advisors, Clinical Psychologists. There is a huge variety of interesting work.

Our Key Stakeholders are working in Emergency Ambulance, Operations, Community Programmes, Commercial, Corporate/office environments and more, so your communication skills around Health and Safety will need to be confident and courteous.

To succeed in this role you will need:

· Working knowledge of AS/NZ 4801 and/or ISO 45001

· Strong administration skills and sound knowledge of the MS Suite

· Proven track record of managing Health & Safety risks

· Contractor and supply management or Health & Safety quality

· People Management skills an advantage

· National Certification in OHS

· Contractor and supplier management
