Mō te tūnga | About the roles

As a regional H&S Team Leader, you'll act as the crucial link between the national Safety & Wellbeing Leadership Team and Regional Leadership Teams, providing strategic advice and guidance, ensuring regions are supported to effectively apply new health and safety policies and procedures, and providing leadership to a team of health and safety specialists to deliver a first-class business partnering and advisory service to frontline teams, leaders and projects.

As Team Leader, you will be responsible for influencing consideration and strategic decision-making for health and safety in the region, balancing local needs with national decision-making. You'll also provide close coaching and mentoring to your team, ensuring regions have a clear and forward-looking plan for achieving better health and safety outcomes.

To be successful, we are looking for evidence of the following key skills and experience in your application:

- Experience of leading a team of health and safety professionals;

- Demonstrated ability to provide strategic and analytical advice that influences improved health and safety outcomes at a regional level;

- Able to build positive relationships and influence as a trusted advisor to leaders at all levels, in a way that reinforces that accountability for health and safety lies with the leaders themselves;

- Knowledge of applied best practice in health and safety business partnering;

- Experience in development and successfully coordinating delivery of annual work programmes, especially implementation of new health and safety policies and procedures; and

- Robust attention to detail and strong focus on quality assurance of outputs and deliverables.

The salary range for this role is $110,091 to $155,423. Appointments are based on skills and experience relevant to the role.
