The opportunity:

Employsure is Australia's leading specialist in workplace relations. With over 30,000 small business clients, we are changing the way businesses look at their workplace relations and seek advice.

This role is part of our WHS Research team that supports our Advice and Consultancy teams. We are looking for a Health and Safety Specialist who will be responsible for ensuring that WHS advice provided to our clients is correct, by proactively reviewing legislative changes across Australia and New Zealand. You will work with a variety of internal teaks to ensure that our position on matters is relevant and up to date.

You will be crucial in identifying, interpreting, and developing new resources for our teams and keeping them up to date of any developments in law. Your ability to manage your time effectively during peak times will be paramount and your absolute focus on accuracy will ensure the rest of the team are delivering accurate guidance to our clients.

You will also be responding to inbound WHS advice queries via email and telephone in an efficient and productive manner. We are looking for an enthusiastic problem solver who can assist business owners to manage health and safety.

Key accountabilities:

- Provide WHS advice by phone and email

- Communicate complex information or concepts to clients without using technical jargon

- Provide timely and practical advice to clients from all industry types

- Deliver industry defining service by partnering with clients as a trusted Adviser

- Proactively review legislative changes across Australia and New Zealand and work with internal teams to determine if changes in our position are required

- Reactively review and observe changes in WHS trends across Australia and New Zealand and work with stakeholders to determine if changes in the company stance are required

- Using technical legal expertise to interpret the changes identified and work with stakeholders to determine what our stance should be

The right person will have:

- Diploma qualified in Work Health and Safety

- 2 years’ experience working across Health and Safety

- Detailed and up to date knowledge of the Work Health and Safety legislation, together with relevant practical experience in providing professional quality advice across all -WHS and safety matters

- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

- Capacity to comprehend new legal concepts and information quickly, and then communicate about them clearly and coherently.
