About the company and role
A leader in their field and offering telecommunications products and services throughout New Zealand - our client works with numerous key stakeholders and are looking for a qualified Health and Safety Partner who has proven success in large, complex and diverse workplaces.
You will provide support and advice utilising your exceptional communication skillset and assisting with the delivery of the HSW strategy framework and systems - leading the performance through monitoring, genuine interaction, influence and engagement within your respective region.
Working with the wider leadership team as well as suppliers, contractors and employees you will have effective problem solving skills, whilst enabling the understanding of risk management throughout the organisation, in order to ensure critical risks are controlled in the best way possible and leading the way to ensure further risks within the business are indentified.
Skills and experience will include:
• Professional qualification required – minimum Diploma
• Significant experience within a large and complex organisation, with high risk profile
• Construction, telecommunications or similar experience
• Solid and practical Contractor Management
• Recognised as an accomplished Health and Safety Partner by your peers and leaders
• Strong communication skillset with the proven ability to influence change
• Effective problem-solving skillset
• Experience in wellbeing/mental health portfolio is preferred
