About the role

In this pivotal role, you will implement safety systems, drive compliance, and champion a proactive safety culture. You’ll collaborate with all levels of the organisation to ensure employees thrive in a safe, sustainable environment.

Duties

• Develop and implement health and safety strategies aligned with operational goals

• Conduct risk assessments and audits, driving compliance and continuous improvement

• Lead investigations, implement corrective actions, and ensure learnings are shared

Skills and experience

You will bring solid experience in a Health & Safety leadership role, ideally within the timber or manufacturing industries. Your ability to communicate and connect with people at all levels will set you apart, as will your resilience and skill in influencing others to adopt safe practices. With a practical and down-to-earth approach, you’ll feel confident developing and refining systems, always ensuring the finer details are taken care of.

• Strong expertise in health and safety management, including regulatory compliance

• Proven ability to lead investigations using methodologies such as ICAM

• Excellent communication and leadership skills to influence and engage teams
