About the role

Working in the Grains and Oils division, this role partners with employees to coach and lead safety culture across New Zealand sites. Driving strategic initiatives, leading continuous improvement and developing HSE plans are core to this position.

Partnering with the leadership team, there is also a focus on environmental management and compliance practises. You will be required to travel to other sites throughout the North Island, on an ad hoc basis.

Duties

• Direct and implement SHE strategy and programs

• Monitor and communicate performance for continuous improvement

• Ensure compliance with SHE legal requirements

• Execute and coordinate the safety management systems

• Develop and apply initiatives

• Provide coaching and support to employees and teams

• Focus on effective safety leadership and behaviours

• Review incidents and conduct investigations

• Report on performance data

Skills and experience

• OHS or Environmental qualification

• Proven background in improving HSE performance in an operational role

• Influencing and negotiating skills

• People management experience

• Full class 1 drivers licence

• Experience supply chain or manufacturing is an advantage
