Reporting to the Homesafe Manager this role supports improvements and the implementation of best practice within the organisation. As Health and Safety Coordinator you’ll coordinate activities, support and administer processes, and implement solutions across the organizational functions. You’ll be responsible for assisting the review of policies and procedures, identifying hazards and risks, educating staff, assisting with the investigation of incidents, and supporting staff to return to work. Key to your success will be your ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation to influence and bring about change. The breadth and complexities of the teams and their responsibilities will expose you to a diverse range of risks, requirements and regulations that will be valuable to your development. On the job learning will be provided alongside external training to increase knowledge and promote future career growth.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• To have completed ‘in house’ safety training within a similar environment, although ideally you will have an industry recognized qualification.

• Experience within a H&S environment.

• A robust understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.

• The ability to present to groups.

• To be highly motivated, well organised and committed.
