About the role

Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for the enterprise wide risk management, which includes setting the strategic direction and governance framework, as well as ensuring close monitoring and management of critical risk.

This is a fantastic role where you can really make your mark, with Board Members who are fully supportive.

You will ensure all health and safety responsibilities are actioned appropriately and in a timely manner. Health and Safety is critically important within this organisation, so a strong focus will be on managing all Health and Safety obligations, ensuring a high level of collaboration with numerous development partners in order to manage risk.

Duties include:

• Set the strategic direction and ensure a governance framework is in place for full legislative compliance, working toward best practice.

• Enterprise wide risk management – develop and ensure plans are executed in line with requirements

• Mentor, coach and influence to ensure a high level of performance and sustainable safety success

• Work proactively with all internal and external bodies

• Facilitate and embed risk knowledge, identification and assessment

• Build strong relationships throughout the business

• Lead the implementation of new initiatives, keeping continuous improvement front of mind

Skills and experience required:

• Relevant Tertiary qualifications

• Significant Risk Management experience essential in high risk environment

• Proven ability to leverage relationships to drive successful results

• Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation, regulations and codes of practice

• Customer orientated – engaging, inspirational, motivating attitude

• Strong analytical skillset, focusing on key information

• Outcome focused and results orientated, willing to go the extra mile, setting high standards for self and others.

• Experienced incident/accident investigator

• Fully conversant with great ideas for a proactive approach

• Auditing/monitoring experience – construction related
