About the role

Support the NZ Safety Manager in influencing an organisational mind-set that promotes Health & Safety as a principal value. You will provide leadership in respect to safety practises and commitment to achieve Health and Safety objectives, consistent with the company values, core strategies, policies and processes.

Contributing to the development and maintenance of health and safety systems and processes, you’ll assist managers and supervisors in implementing safety systems and initiatives, guiding on incidents and issues as required.

Duties

• Maintain safety management system

• Provide reports to senior board level

• Support the site Health and Safety Committee

• Training

• Incident Management & Investigation

• Assist with audit and maintaining records for internal and external compliance

Skills and experience

• Experience in administration, safety, quality, or process engineering roles within a manufacturing plant.

• Tertiary qualifications desirable

• ICAM desirable

• Detailed knowledge of HSWA

• Proven track record of maintaining and delivering safety management systems

• Knowledge of HSNO and MHF regulations.

• Understanding of key manufacturing methodologies and concepts including Lean, 5S and TOC.
