This role reports into the Risk Manager and supports them in implementing a culture of best practice in Risk Management of Health and Safety; work with Risk Manager to coordinate, maintain and communicate the Risk & Health and Safety (H&S) frameworks, processes and procedures including training of plant staff to satisfy company, legislative compliance, and audits.

The role is responsible for the management of the general H&S functions for the plant as well as maintaining H&S and Risk Systems and reporting for Plant Management and corporate Health and Safety team.

Skills and experience

We anticipate the successful candidate will already have achieved proven results within a similar environment (primary industry) and wish to now step into a more strategic role with direct reports.

• Proven Health and Safety experience

• Relevant tertiary qualification (Risk Management/Health and Safety)

• Experience in similar industry ideal

• Chemical knowledge – specifically Ammonia

• Strong attention to detail with great accuracy

• Great commercial acumen

• A proactive and energetic approach

• Excellent understanding of risk management standards, practices and frameworks

• Registration with a relevant professional body and/or undergoing CPD is expected
