Lead and manage the wellbeing programme for our client, utilising strong injury management knowledge, including ACC claims

About the role

Reporting to the General Manager – Health, Safety and Wellbeing, you will provide the leadership and management of the Team Member Wellbeing Programmes across the entire organisation and support the delivery of the CEO and Board due diligence obligations.

You will actively take charge of the Injury Management, Strategy and Wellbeing portfolio, which includes taking ownership of the ACC Partnership Programme and accounts.

Working with the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Team and the Risk and Audit Function (Finance), you will develop relevant audit modules and ensure an accurate and consistent approach.

Duties

· Coach, mentor and influence key senior stakeholders (exec and senior managers) on all wellbeing initiatives

· Take charge of key decisions regarding rehabilitation, including surgery treatments or recommended medical retirements

· Ensure all claims are managed in a timely fashion

· Work collaboratively across functions in a matrix environment to achieve sustainable success

· Moderate audit results to ensure auditors are consistent and results are available for trend comparison/analysis

· Report key areas of focus, arising from assurance programmes with accuracy and insights

· Ensure relevant changes in legislation, regulations and codes of practice are understood and lead change where required

· Plan for annual ACC Audit and develop an execution plan for findings from audit

Skills and experience

You will have:

· Significant experience in managing a Wellbeing portfolio in a large organisation, including facilitation of complex return to work claims

· A solid understanding of Safety or Risk Management assurance processes, including contemporary audit and board reporting.

· A strong technical background.

· Relevant tertiary qualification (minimum Diploma OHS or equivalent)

· Internal Auditor/Lead Auditor training

· Specialist rehabilitation qualifications are highly desired
