About the role
Powerco is well positioned, with leading health and safety performance in our industry and well-established systems and processes. We are seeking a Head of Health and Safety to lead the next step of our health and safety journey.
This newly created key senior leadership role will join our Corporate Services team at an exciting time, as we transition to operational ownership of health and safety outcomes.
As the Head of Health and Safety, you'll start by getting to know our business and service providers so you can work with them to ensure safe outcomes for our people, our service providers and the public.
The difference you'll make will include the following:
Leading the transition to operational ownership through a partnership between the health and safety team and operational business
Working alongside peers in the organisation, our service providers and our Executive Leadership team as a trusted advisor to ensure critical risks are managed
Skills and experience
It's not the be all and end all, but we'd be stoked if you have the following:
Outstanding interpersonal skills bolstered with a depth of experience in health and safety or operational leadership in a high-risk industry
Proven results in delivering continuous improvement of health and safety management systems
Good people management experience and demonstrated ability to lead and influence safety culture across the business
