Are people genuinely at the centre of your world?

We believe that improved Health & Safety outcomes come from a combination of promoting autonomy, responsibility and accountability in our people and providing them with the necessary systems, tools and environment that will enable them to thrive in their work.

This influencing role will be responsible for coaching, facilitating and enabling that philosophy, whilst ensuring robust systems, processes and practices are in place to underpin our goals and objectives. You will own the new H&S strategy as well as the key initiatives expected to connect and align our people and deliver best practice to improve the safety and well-being of more than 1000 staff around the world.

To be considered for this role, your application will demonstrate the below.

• With a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar level role, we are looking for someone who is energised and ambitious to positively impact the business. With a supportive and accessible Board of Directors and Executive Team, this role is based in Hamilton with opportunities for regular domestic and some international travel.

• Risk identification is second nature to you with a keen eye for spotting and filling the critical gaps. You will be skilled at implementing and monitoring the application of the OHSMS Framework and bringing to life policies and procedures to reflect work as done, not as it is imagined to be done.

• A strong analytical mindset, you know what will make the most difference to our continued improvement journey. Able to see trends, innovate and inspire, you will also be able to articulate to key stakeholders the potential impact of key information and propose and implement relevant action plans.

• Able to see the big picture you are passionate about rolling up your sleeves and making sure that the day to day delivery of our H&S processes are simple and effective. An exceptional administrator you are relentless in ensuring our records and reports are a rock-solid representation of the great practices in place.

• Your strong interpersonal skills see you operate effectively across the organisation to encourage the continued growth of our focus in this area. Leading and inspiring the H&S Coordinator as well as the extended team of H&S Representatives and Operational Managers across the company you can clearly articulate the people and business-based benefit of thinking safety first.

If you think this sounds like you, please send in your application with a cover letter telling us why you are the perfect candidate for this role. Applications will close on Monday 9 March 2020, so apply online now using the link here
