About the role

As New Zealand's leading provider of health & safety (H&S) solutions including training (we're a PTE), consulting, IT solutions and systems, IMPAC's success hinges on our people's ability to be responsive to our clients and exceed the expectations of both our internal staff and external stakeholders.

We educate in excess of 10,000 people per year across New Zealand, with 100's of organisations seeking our products and services. Being NZQA recognised across many courses provides tangible and impactful outcomes.

This role leads our training team and has overall accountability for the development and execution of our Training business plan and longer term strategy. Given our national coverage consideration will be given to candidates outside the Auckland area.

Responsibilities and daily tasks will include:

• Working with our clients to ensure their needs are understood and delivered against.

• Leading our training team employees across our various offices nationwide.

• Day to day execution of our business plan and management of a substantial P&L.

• Contribute positively as a member of IMPAC's Senior Leadership team to build a strong internal culture that lives our values.

• Representing IMPAC in a variety of forums across the training industry and Government.

• Contribute to the development and enhancement of our training collateral, assess gaps and opportunities to drive continuous improvement and excellence in delivery

Skills and experience

The ideal candidate will have:

• Tertiary qualification in a related discipline preferred.

• A proven track record leading teams and building a high performance culture.

• The ability to build and grow strong relationships with key stakeholders across a broad range of industries and workforces.

• Demonstrable commercial acumen and ability to deliver efficient and effective business outcomes.

• A deep understanding of client relationship management and an ability to introduce, build and retain such relationships.

• Leadership experience in a tertiary education provider.

• Confidence in presenting to diverse groups across all levels of an organisation.

• Health and Safety expertise preferred but not essential.
