Our People, Safety and Wellbeing team is the heart of Hamilton City Council, looking after our tangata (people) through proactive initiatives and relationship management as well as reactive responses to issues.

This role is crucial to the success of the Safety & Wellbeing team as well as pivotal across Hamilton City Council. This role will provide vital statistics and data which will enable excellent oversight, with robust reporting which is provided to relevant key stakeholders. It will help us see emerging trends in what is happening in the health and safety space, as well as leading us to being proactive in providing programs of work to support our people.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Safety & Wellbeing Lead, the key outcomes for the candidate to be successful in the role:

-Maintaining safety data integrity and promotion of quality reporting.

-Providing dashboard board reporting and extraction of data insights to identify key trends, areas of interest and potential further investigation.

-Inputting and providing of regular performance metrics and data for reporting purposes.

-Provide a positive and engaging experience to end users and managers

About you

Ideally, you will have:

-At least 5 years’ experience in a business analyst role within workplace safety context

-Highly developed communication skills

-Savvy reporting skills and ability to interpret data into engaging stories

-Knowledge and understanding of NZ’s Health and Safety legislations is advantageous

The recruiting range for this role starts at $80,000 per annum and can be negotiable to meet the right candidate’s level of skills and experience they can bring to the team.
