As the Advisor Health & Safety, you will be instrumental in supporting our Senior Health & Safety Advisor to deliver on our busy Health & Safety annual plan that helps to ensure all our staff go home safe and well every day.

We are looking for a highly-organised individual who wants to assist us in this vision and who can hit the ground running.

This role involves all facets of health and safety from training, reporting, risk management, emergency management, and investigative work. You will need to be ready to engage with the business, be confident with Health & Safety systems and adaptable to change. What we’re looking for

The successful applicant will be focused on delivering exceptional internal customer service, coordination of Health & Safety initiatives and ability to work in a demanding environment. We are looking for someone who has:

· A passion for safety, health, and wellbeing in the workplace

· Evidence of continued learning & experience in Health & Safety and/or HR

· Ability to bring innovation in practical ways to the role so we can continue to enhance a fit for purpose saftey minded culture

· Experience in the implementation of Health & Safety Systems, Polices and standard operating procedures

· Demonstrated reporting and analytical skills

· In-depth understanding of risk management practices

· Intermediate knowledge of MS Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)

· A high level of confidentiality and integrity

· Working knowledge of the Health & Safety at work Act NZ; and current NZ Employment law

What we can offer you This is a Fixed Term full-time position till February 2020 based in our central city offices on Lambton Quay. You’ll be joining a close-knit and supportive team, which is focused on achieving a busy work plan.
