Rates of mental illness are rising in New Zealand. The Covid-19 pandemic has made a bad situation worse. Traditionally health and safety practitioners have focused on physical harm, now they are being asked to look at psychological well-being. Many health and safety practitioners feel they need to know more about these topics. NZISM is running an in-depth, 16-part course to give you a solid understanding of these issues. This course will be suitable for any level of knowledge.

Topics covered include: depression, anxiety, addiction, eating disorders, trauma and PTSD, where and how to find help, different forms of treatment, suicide prevention, brain injuries, autism, dyslexia, sleep, grief, sensory processing issues and much more.

There will be interactive components within the course and chances for you to discuss challenges and struggles you may be having with other members.
