We all know that post Pike the focus of attention has swung onto the role of directors (officers) in leading health and safety and setting the ’tone from the top’. But it can be hard to gain traction with them and to move them from concern (am I going to go to jail?) into action (what can I do to help drive improved performance?). In this webinar Mike Cosman will look at some strategies to ensure health and safety professionals can influence their boards to create a positive safety culture in their business.
Mike Cosman is the Chair of the NZISM Governance Board, holds an Honours degree in management, postgraduate qualifications in OHS and a Certificate in Company Direction from the IoD. Mike is on the HASANZ Register and an accredited SafePlus assessor, a Chartered Member of IOSH, Certified Member of the New Zealand Institute of Safety Management and a Member of the NZ Institute of Directors. Mike is one of New Zealand’s most highly regarded health and safety professionals with 40 years’ experience in operational, management, policy and strategic roles.
