Guest Speaker: Ann-Louise Anderson – What have we learnt from 2020 to apply in 2021 for our Drug and Alcohol testing programmes (The Cannabis referendum, Covid 19 Pandemic, New Standards and Updating your Policy)
Ann-louise is renowned in her field with over 30 years’ experience in commerce, science and medicine alongside extensive work with major corporations in development and implementation of workplace policies, from smoke free legislation to occupational health and safety initiatives around drugs and alcohol.
She is formerly chief executive of multinational clinical diagnostic companies. For more than 30 years she has been a CEO and Managing Director both in New Zealand and Australia with vast experience in change implementation, business governance combined with medical sciences which she brings to her audience.
Ann-louise is a very active elected member the Australia New Zealand Standards Committee for Drug and Alcohol and brings wealth of knowledge and experience from a chief executive’s perspective and believing in clarity and practicality for workplace testing programmes and policies, balancing the science, human resources and commercial needs is imperative to the outcome.
Ann-louise is a science graduate majoring in Clinical Biochemistry. She has worked alongside clinical laboratories and workplaces for 35 years, pioneering and establishing drug testing for the workplace, immunosuppression and therapeutic drug test applications and immunoassay techniques. As a NZ Qualifications Authority Trainer and Assessor instrumental in writing of NZQA Unit Standards she is a true subject matter expert.
