Deaths of two port workers were reported in April 2022 prompting the Minister to direct the Transport Accident Investigation Commission to carry out an independent investigation into the circumstances and causes of the two accidents and provide an independent safety-focused investigation to determine any potential system-wide lessons.
In this webinar Chris will investigate the questions:Chris Peace started his OSH career in the UK where he worked in a regulatory role, enforcing health and safety legislation. When he immigrated to New Zealand he moved into risk management and worked in various roles before joining the Natural Gas Corporation as Corporate Risk Manager and ultimately moving on to establish Risk Management Ltd, an evidence-based risk management consultancy.
More recently, Chris has been sharing his wealth of information through teaching. He has lectured at Massey University (Auckland) and is currently at Victoria University (Wellington), teaching papers on management and assessment of risk in the Master's programme.
