Mark will outline the EU process from a Worksafe perspective in terms of the granting and monitoring an EU
Andy will outline the process of managing an EU from an organisational perspective once it has been issued.
Mark Bailey
From 2017 – 2020 Mark was at WorkSafe NZ, for the last 15 months as Senior Advisor, Enforceable Undertakings.
While in the EU team he undertook suitability assessments, acted as non-voting chair of the “EU Panel”, and actively monitored and reviewed the progress of existing EUs.
Mark has the NEBOSH IGC and is a student in the NEBOSH Diploma. He is currently Lead Advisor (Health and Safety) for one of NZ’s largest public sector agencies.
Andy Evans
After careers in Education and SCUBA Instructing, Andy entered the Safety and Risk Field in 2013 having graduated from Massey University with a Master’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health.
His early focus was in Safety training and Education, where he developed and delivered a range of safety training courses from Health and Safety Representatives through to NEBOSH IGC.
Andy was one of the architects, and remains a principal Tutor of the New Zealand Diploma in Safety Management (Level 6) delivered by The EMA in Auckland and CECC in Christchurch
More recent studying has assisted Andy in developing a degree of expertise in Critical Risk Management utilising the Bowtie methodology, which Andy has used to assist businesses in a range of Industries. This along with project managing an Enforceable undertaking consumes much of Andy’s time currently.
